The mission of Fannin Terrace Baptist Church is to help people become more like Christ
The Vision
We're becoming a church where people are formed in Christ, leaders rise up to carry the mission forward, generosity flows from grateful hearts, families disciple their kids at home, and our church looks more and more like Midland itself — all of it pointing toward people coming to know Jesus and declaring it through baptism.
The Vision, Explained
We're in a season of renewed hope at Fannin — rebuilding, clarifying, and asking God to do something significant among us. Here's what we sense he's calling us toward.
We're becoming a church where people are actually formed in Christ, not just attending — growing together in groups and relationships where faith gets lived out, prayed over, and carried through the hard seasons as well as the good ones. As that happens, we're watching leaders rise up across every generation, so that ministry here is carried by many hands, not a few. Generosity is becoming part of who we are — not because we're chasing a budget, but because open hands are what it looks like to respond to a generous God. Families are being equipped to disciple their kids at home, not hand that job entirely to Sunday morning. And we want our church to increasingly reflect Midland itself — every generation, every background, finding a place here.
All of that points toward one thing: people coming to know Jesus and saying so publicly, through baptism. That's the fruit we're praying for — and we'd love for you to be part of it.
